Hulu Will Run Triumph The Insult Comic Dog’s 2016 Election Special

Hulu will soon provide subscribers some laughs surrounding the upcoming Presidential election. In its first partnership with Funny or Die, the streaming video platform has picked up exclusive rights to Triumph’s Election Special 2016, featuring Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

Created by Conan O’Brien and Robert Smigel, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog originally appeared on a 1997 episode of NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The vulgar canine character puppet, voiced by Smigel, is usually seen puffing a cigar before he starts hurling insults. Triumph has most recently appeared on an episode of AOL’s digital series Park Bench with Steve Buscemi.

from Funny or Die, Smigel’s dog will travel to Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina where he will crash campaign events and do his best to poke fun of the media. Variety notes Triumph has already visited a Democratic debate, a Tea Party meetup, and various Ted Cruz bus tours in the past. Smigel, O’Brien, Charlie Siskel, and Funny or Die’s Mike Farah and Anna Wenger all serve as executive producers on Trumph’s Election Special 2016.

“A quote? I don’t have time for this s–t,” Triumph said in a prepared statement.

You can catch Triumph’s Election Special 2016 in early February on Hulu.
