YouTube Star BubzBeauty Visits Two Schools In Laos Built Through Pencils Of Promise Charity Campaign

Lindy Tsang (aka BubzBeauty) just came back from a very special trip to Asia. The beauty and lifestyle YouTube star visited the country of Laos to dedicate the two schools she helped fund through a charity campaign for non-profit education organization Pencils of Promise.

Tsang originally shared a video about her Pencils of Promise campaign on her YouTube channel in August 2015. Thanks to more than 2.9 million YouTube subscribers (and over 6 million subscribers and followers across all her social accounts), Tsang raised tens of thousands of dollars to help build two schools in Laos. One was consecrated the Saen Oudom (translated Beauty of Knowledge) Primary School and and the other was named Tad Thong Preschool. Pencils of Promise just finished building the schools, so Tsang travelled to Laos from January 9-13, 2016 to meet the students and dedicate Saen Oudom and Tad Thong to her family and fans.

“Lindy Tsang has been an incredible partner to Pencils of Promise,” said the organization’s Senior Marketing Manager Carlo Dumandan in a release. “Because of Lindy’s support, two communities in Laos have brand new schools and over 300 students now have access to a quality learning environment.”

“Being able to see one of the schools my community and I built together was one of the most surreal things I have ever experienced,” Tsang added. “Together, we truly made a difference to the lives of so many children and we won’t stop here!” Tsang noted she plans to launch another Pencils of Promise campaign in the fall of 2016 with the goal of building three schools in Ghana, Africa.

In addition to her campaign and work for Pencils of Promise, Tsang has been busy with some other projects. Thanks to Turkish Airlines and multi-channel network Rightster, Tsang recently visited Istanbul to participate in the #FortuneTraveller travel vlog campaign. The beauty and lifestyle creator is also working on a new web series with StyleHaul for release on Verizon’s go90 platform.

Since 2008, Pencils of Promise has helped build more than 300 schools, which have educated over 30,000 students around the world in a safe and clean environment. You can visit the organization’s website for more information.
