Netflix Drops Another Teaser For ‘House Of Cards’ During Golden Globes

Netflix is taunting House of Cards fans with yet another sneak peek of the series’ upcoming season four. The streaming video service released a second teaser trailer during the Golden Globes awards for its hit original drama, featuring a cocky (and terrifying) monologue from President Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey).

In the political promo-style teaser, Underwood speaks to the American people, claiming “we get the leaders we deserve.” The Commander-in-Chief then proceeds to describe the kind of leader he thinks the U.S. needs, like someone who isn’t afraid to speak his mind or put people first. But amid these upstanding comments, shots of Underwood’s ruthless crimes and despicable deeds from the past three seasons of House of Cards flash across the screen to remind viewers exactly what kind of man the President really is. The fourth season teaser ends with Underwood saying he believes America deserves him, and “in your heart, you know I’m right.”

This new House of Cards teaser is the second to come out of Netflix’s marketing department for the show’s fourth season. The first teaser, cleverly released during CNN’s Republican debate in December 2015, also took the form of a presidential campaign ad. In that earlier “FU2016” clip, Underwood is described as a people person who’s “only getting started” at making America a better place.

All House of Cards season four episodes drop on Netflix on March 4, 2016.
