Smart Girls Launches ‘The Sims’-Themed Building Series To Encourage Young Girls To Dream

Smart Girls at the Party has debuted yet another female-empowering web series. The Legendary-owned digital network, co-founded by Amy Poehler and Meredith Walker, launched the new video game-themed branded entertainment series Smart Girls Build with The Sims 4 on December 9, 2015.

Created in conjunction with Sims‘ publisher Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), Smart Girls Build with The Sims 4 is described in a release as a show which demonstrates “girls can be and do anything they can dream up, by exploring their unique passions and talents in The Sims 4.” Each episode finds one young woman partnering with an EA producer who creates a personalized Sim character based on the girl’s traits, personality, and life goals. The young woman can then realize her talents and dreams in The Sims 4 video game. The first episode of Smart Girls Build with The Sims 4

features 13-year-old Celeste teaming with The Sims 4 associate producer Azure Bowie to build a Sim who loves to dance, just like Celeste.

Smart Girls Build with The Sims 4 is the most recent series to join Smart Girls’ quickly-burgeoning library of original series. In mid-November, Smart Girls debuted She Said, a female-skewing talk show hosted by comedians Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher. Before that, the digital network released the supernatural-themed makeup series The Other Side with Annamarie Tendler and the book review show Book Report with Aisha Muharrar.
