Vox Entertainment has a new executive to head up operations. Vox Media‘s online video division, formed only a few short months ago in March 2015, has hired Erica Winograd as its new Head of Development.
Winograd is the first major hire at Vox Entertainment, and she’ll be charged with creating new, original programming for over-the-top and linear distribution. Winograd will also be responsible for growing Vox’s existing portfolio of web series, which currently includes shows like Try Hards (for its lifestyle and fashion site Racked) and Courageous Leaders.
“I’m tremendously excited to have Erica join Vox Entertainment to lead our development projects,” said Vox Creative Director and VP of Vox Entertainment Chad Mumm, as reported by StreamDaily. “Her experience bridges the worlds of digital and linear programming in a completely unique way.”
Winograd comes to Vox Entertainment from FreMantleMedia North America, where she was the executive director of digital content. The new Vox executive worked with FreMantle’s digital studio Tiny Riot! to develop content with the creative team and brand partners. Winograd will start her new position with Vox Entertainment on June 22, 2015.
