Flula Borg Crafts Dope Jam With Help From The ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Cast

On May 15th, DJ Flula Borg will make his big screen debut when he appears as a member of a rival a cappella team in Pitch Perfect 2. Flula, as you can imagine, is pretty hyped up about his big break, and he is celebrating with some of the dope jams for which he has become famous. In his latest video, Flula teams up with members of the Pitch Perfect 2 cast–including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Adam Devine–and enlists them for a musical number.

In the video, Flula tells his Pitch Perfect castmates he “would like to create a song from your sounds.” He collects their whoops, hollers, and intonations, which he then blends into a short track filled with all of the funk his fans have come to expect. I don’t want to say I have high expectations for the video, but if it doesn’t at least match the 197 million views “Cups

” has received, I will be sorely disappointed.

If preview clips from the film are any indication, Flula’s role in Pitch Perfect 2 includes plenty of shenanigans of its own. His journey to the big screen won’t be his last foray into traditional media, either; he has also been cast in a lead role for Cuckoo, an upcoming NBC pilot.
