Two years after their initial inception, the YouTube Music Awards are coming back in 2015. The event, which honors the artists who create outstanding work both online and off, will take over the world’s most popular video sharing site on March 23rd, and in anticipation of that date, YouTube has announced the 50 artists whose work it will honor.
The YouTube Music Award winners are a mixed bunch. During the YTMAs’ maiden voyage in 2013, the honorees were a mix of mainstream celebrities and online video stars, and that is the case once again. The 50 winners run the gamut, from music’s biggest acts (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry) to musicians who rose to prominence on YouTube (Troye Sivan, Lindsey Stirling) to those who lie somewhere in between (Ok Go, Fifth Harmony).

The 2013 YTMAs were centered around a central live show, but that event left much to be desired, so this time around, YouTube is instead focusing its music awards online. On March 23rd, at 10 AM PST, a selection of new music videos will debut exclusively on YouTube. Several YTMA winners, including Max Schneider, Ed Sheeran, and Megan Nicole, will offer videos as part of this simultaneous release, and Vice, which also oversaw the 2013 YTMAs, will produce this event as well.
