Clevver To Host Oscars Watch Party Featuring YouTube Stars

If you’re looking for some long-distance company during this year’s Oscars, you can turn to Clevver. The entertainment destination run by Defy Media will host a digital “watch party” during the yearly award ceremony, and more than seven YouTubers–including Kingsley and Mamrie Hart–will join the fun.

Clevver’s watch party is part of its Trophy Life series, which provides ongoing coverage for major award ceremonies. Since its launch in November 2013, Trophy Life has spanned more than 370 installments, and the Oscars watch party will add five more to that total. The videos will go live on February 22nd, and will debut across Clevver’s distribution network, which spans YouTube, Yahoo, Hulu, and AOL.

The participating YouTubers will react live to the best moments from this year’s Academy Awards. According to information from Defy, the cast will include Kingsley, Spoken Reasons, Lisa Schwartz, Meghan RienksMamrie Hart, Davey Wavey, and Traci Stumpf. In addition, the cast of the Screen Junkies channel will appear as part of Defy’s efforts to foster collaboration among its owned-and-operated properties.
