Mode Media wants to take the online video masses behind-the-scenes in the daily lives of YouTubers Rachel and Byron Talbott. The lifestyle media company will release a new reality/DIY web series called Totally Talbott in January 2015.
The video series will follow the Talbotts as they figure out how to live and work together as new parents. Produced by Hud:sun Media (the studio behind House of DVF), Totally Talbott will feature Rachel, Byron, and son Oliver as they settle into a new home and make it their own. The web series will also include “tips, tricks and ‘life hacks’ to help the Talbotts’ hectic lives become a little bit more sane.”
Rachel Talbott rose to fame due to her beauty blog called CheckInTheMirror, which she started in 2010. She created her corresponding beauty, fashion, and lifestyle YouTube channel a year later and has since garnered over 370,000 subscribers. Her husband Byron worked under Chef Gordon Ramsay and eventually quit his full-time cooking jobs once his own food-focused YouTube channel (540,000 subscribers) became popular enough to require his full attention.
Totally Talbott debuts on January 2, 2015, on Mode’s Tend.com parenting lifestyle site. Mode currently claims 400 million unique visitors per month across its entire network.
