Yogscast’s Jingle Jam Charity Drive Now Live On Twitch, Humble Bundle

Yogscast‘s quest to raise more than a million dollars for charity is off to a resounding start. The British gaming channel has launched its annual Jingle Jam fundraising drive, and in the first few hours of the month-long event, it has already raised more than $82,000.

The centerpiece of Jingle Jam is a promotion with Humble Bundle that includes 15 different games selected by the Yogscast team. A donation of at least $25 unlocks all of the games, including titles like Mark of the Ninja and Thomas Was Alone.

Thus far, more than 3,200 people have taken advantage of the promotion, and while the average donation barely exceeds the $25 baseline, the total donation pool is on pace to crack $100,000 in a single day. Those funds will be split between Mind, Doctors Without Borders/MSF, Flora & Fauna International, Special Effect

, and End Polio Now.

Throughout the month of December, Yogscast is supporting Jingle Jam with daily live streams on its Twitch channel. When I last checked, channel co-founders Lewis Brindley and Simon Lane were playing Minecraft, though a full schedule reveals a wide range of games that will appear on the Yogscast channel throughout the month.

Beyond Jingle Jam, more Yogscast-approved games can be found at the channel’s Humble Bundle-powered store. Proceeds from those purchases also support charity.
