SMWLA Preview: Brands Can Take Advantage Of Tumblr

Among young Internet users, Tumblr has developed a strong following. The blogging service, which lets its users post quick statuses, share videos and pictures, follow other users, and “re-blog” relevant updates, hosts more than 200 million sites. Naturally, this made Tumblr an attractive for brands. Earlier this year, it hired a Director of Media to foster partnerships with media companies.

At Social Media Week Los Angeles, representatives from Tumblr will join a pair of local marketing execs to discuss the best ways to “tell stories” across social media platforms. David Hayes, Tumblr’s Head of Creative Strategy, will host the talk. His fellow panelists will include Tumblr Director of Digital Strategy Nguyen Duong

, GreenLight EVP of Strategy Steve Bender, and Alastair Green, Executive Creative Director at TeamOne Advertising.

The “Social Strategies” event begins Friday, September 26th at 1 PM at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. If you’re interested in attending, you can get a ticket for Social Media Week Los Angeles here. Use the code TF20 for 20% off. You can also check out the full schedule of SMWLA events here.
