Megan Nicole Dons Neon Legwarmers For “Electrified,” Promotes EP Album

YouTube is by no means short on cover artists, but Megan Nicole has many of the others beat. Her success at remaking many of today’s most popular tunes has led to her first album, which she teased by uploading the music video for her original song “Electrified.”

The music video harkens back to the big, poofy hair, neon legwarmers, and intense makeup styles of the 80’s. In the song’s storyline, Nicole keeps running into a young man at the gym who makes her feel “electrified” as she takes a yoga class, walks on the treadmill, and jabs a punching bag. , Nicole has now uploaded the video to YouTube as well.

“Electrified” is one of the songs you’ll be able to find on the 21-year-old’s upcoming 5-song EP “ESCAPE,” which arrives on October 14 and is available for pre-order on iTunes. In the meantime, check out the James-Bond-inspired trailer Nicole uploaded for the album two weeks ago, approved for all “Meganizers.”

Nicole has been on YouTube since 2009 and now boasts over 2 million subscribers.
