Dude Perfect’s Video With Tim McGraw Is Also A TV Commercial

YouTube’s most popular trick shot artists have encounter one of their most well-known celebrity guests to date. Dude Perfect has made a video with country music superstar Tim McGraw, and a shortened version of it will air as a TV commercial.

The Dude Perfect team met McGraw at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, where they hung out and sank their usual impressive array of long-range trick shots. McGraw himself joined in on the fun by swinging his guitar at a basketball and knocking it into the hoop.

As with several other Dude Perfect videos, the McGraw collaboration is sponsored, with Pennzoil footing the bill.  The motor oil company is using the video to promote one of its newest products

, and to that end, the video will come to TV. A 30-second commercial version of the video will air on ABC during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Dude Perfect, which counts 2.6 million subscribers and more than 266 million views on its YouTube channel, has collaborated with celebrities before. In particular, athletes like Johnny Manziel and the U.S. Olympic Team  have teamed up with the channel swished a few trick shots of their own. McGraw represents the first non-athlete celebrity with whom Dude Perfect has collaborated.

Despite seemingly accomplishing every trick shot in the book, Dude Perfect continues to maintain a regular release schedule, and their TV commercial will run throughout the Eastern Conference Finals. I think basketball would be a lot more entertaining if Lebron James was allowed to shoot from the second deck of the stadium.
