Description: Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope is a fan film based off the Dragon Ball Z universe. As with other YouTube fan films, the goal is to create a high quality pilot that energizes fans and ultimately results in the production of a larger project. Specifically, Light of Hope will take aim at the anime’s History of Trunks storyline, in which two androids wreak havoc on Earth. “With the right creative team, and by listening to the fans, a quality live action Dragon Ball Z
movie can be done,” explains director Donnie McMillin in the pitch video.Creator Bio: Light of Hope represents the first major YouTube production from the Robot Underdog studio. The Light of Hope trailer is the most popular video Robot Underdog has released to date; it looks undeniably cool and has been viewed more than 638,000 times.

Why You Should Fund It: Despite being one of the most popular and influential anime series of all time, Dragon Ball Z has not spawned many significant YouTube fan films. Fans of the series only have a few sexy-looking trailers to appease their appetite for action. This is especially unfortunate because the live-action film Dragonball Evolution is infamously regarded as one of the worst movies of all-time, and fans deserve a live-action Dragon Ball Z film that does the anime justice.
Judging from their trailer, the Light of Hope team has the skills to make that worthwhile live-action fan film happen. They only need a few thousand more to reach their goal, so if you hated Dragonball Evolution as much as everyone else, you should send a donation their way.
