BBC Kicks Off Season 3 Of ‘Sherlock’ With YouTube Minisode

It’s been nearly two years since Benedict Cumberbatch last captivated audiences as his twisted and brilliant version of Sherlock Holmes. Luckily for viewers, Sherlock is coming back on the first day of 2014, and the BBC has given fans a little taster course with a prequel YouTube minisode featuring lots of Martin Freeman‘s Watson and a smidgen of Cumberbatch’s Holmes.

The minisode is titled ‘Many Happy Returns’, a those viewers who saw the season two finale will understand exactly which returns the title is referring to. The whole thing runs for seven minutes and features all of the quick humor, dazzling editing, and fast pace of the actual show, albeit with a much shorter runtime. Sherlock

fans will not be disappointed; it certainly helps that the creators of the main show, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, also penned the minisode.
