WARNING: ‘Breaking Bad’ spoilers to follow
In the final episode of Breaking Bad, Walter White was shot down, thus putting an end to Heisenberg’s dealings once and for all. However, the well-received finale won’t be the last chance for fans see their favorite meth trafficker on screen. An charity based in Albuquerque (the show’s main filming location) is hosting a funeral reception for the fictional character, and YouTube will offer up a live stream of the entire event.
The live stream will be a win-win for all parties. The hosting location, Vernon’s Steakhouse, will be able to thank the show for making millions of people take interest in Albuquerque. The participating charity, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless, will be able to raise donations from the show’s passionate fans. ‘Breaking Bad’ itself will be able to claim one last wave of Tweets and search volume. YouTube gets a generous helping of views. And, of course, fans get to formally say goodbye to the show. Everyone’s happy.
While this is all cool, let’s all keep one thing in mind: Walter White is a fictional character. He’s not actually dead. Here’s a picture of his portrayer, alive and well. Just wanted to clear that up before the live stream gets underway on 6:30 EST on October 19th.
