Joan Rivers Will Peruse Eligible Bachelors In ‘Romancing the Joan’

Joan Rivers may be 80 years old, but she’s ready to get back in the dating scene. The comedienne, who has been mostly single since her husband passed away in 1987, will choose from among eight willing bachelors in a new web series, Romancing the Joan.

Romancing the Joan will debut on SheKnows, a women’s lifestyle and entertainment website. Apparently, things may get hot and heavy. “We know her humor and we know her sass but, how much do we know about her passion?” asked SheKnows in a post on its website

. “Will she get caught up in the throes of love with one of the eight hunks and will we see her sneak away from any of the cameras with one of her new male friends? Will there be any scenes shot with night-vision cameras?” For our sakes, I hope the answer to that last question is a resounding no.

In addition to her age, Rivers is also known for her excessive plastic surgery, which makes her look like a human Barbie doll. Even so, eight men were brave enough to step up to the plate. “Some of them were so young! It was gross,” said Joan’s daughter Melissa, who will host Romancing the Joan. “I mean, do they even know how old my mother is?”

Rivers has already built a significant online presence through In Ben With Joan, her ongoing YouTube interview series. The latest episode featured Breaking Bad actress Betsy Brandt.

Romancing the Joan will arrive in September, when we will learn what sorts of men are interested in shacking up with an octogenarian temptress. I’m morbidly curious.
