‘Robot Chicken’ Creators To Introduce World To ‘Friendship All-Stars’

Lexus’ L Studio is adding another top-notch team to its list of creative talent. The branded platform is the home of Friendship All-Stars, a new series produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich of Robot Chicken fame.

Like Robot Chicken, Friendship All-Stars will feature a stop-motion animation style. It will follow the wacky lives of a group of fictional celebrities who live together in a apartment building. The shows three creators–Harry Chaskin, Dan Lippert and Justin Michael–appeared with Green on a joke show called Cutting Bowls With Seth G, where they explained the show while Green gives Lippert a dorky bowl cut.

LStudio is best known for Web Therapy, Lisa Kudrow’s award-winning web series turned Showtime TV program. Friendship All-Stars will be the seventh comedy to debut on the site.

“This is a really unique, original and funny series. It’s unapologetically silly and at times, just plain ridiculous,” said Green in a statement. His studio serves as the location where Friendship All-Stars‘ creators will create their stop-motion constructions.

Friendship All-Stars will run for ten episodes beginning July 24; it is then we’ll learn if it lives up to its title or if it’s merely an also ran.
