Visit Norway With ‘Extreme Makeover’ Host Ty Pennington’s New Series

If you don’t have the time or resources to go gallivanting around the globe, looking at video of exotic places can often serve as a worthwhile substitute. I have stared at pictures of Meteora for years and hoped that if I close my eyes and wish really hard I’d be able to teleport there instantly. TV host Ty Pennington is feeding my habit with his new web series, Ty’s Worldly Adventures, where he takes a few weeks travelling around Scandinavia.

Pennington made a name for himself by hosting Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, where he spent nine years blowing up houses. In the inaugural episode of his new series, we learn about his positive experience at a Norwegian parade in Brooklyn, which inspired him to visit Norway for himself (and Denmark, too), all while recording his adventures.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Pennington talked about the craziest part of his adventure, a visit to Norway’s majestic Preikestolen (aka Pulpit Rock). Is it as insane as it looks? According to Ty, um, yeah.

Pennington is also notable for having ADHD, and I’d like to think that his condition makes him the perfect person to take viewers on a tour of the world. After all, when you’ve got so much stuff to look at, you need to ride along with someone who will truly take in his full surroundings.

When the next episode of Ty’s Worldy Adventures comes out, I expect our man to be in a foreign country. And when he is, I have no doubt my travel jealousy will kick in big time.
