Introducing YouTube and Tubefilter Screenings in NYC

(Editor’s Note: Be sure to RSVP here or in the form below.)

You and I both know the internet is full of amazing videos, but with 60+ hours of content uploaded every minute to YouTube alone, the problem is finding them. That’s where we come in.

As part of Tubefilter’s mission to grow the audience of original online video programming by discovering and showcasing the medium’s finest, we’ve teamed up with the fantastic team at YouTube and the great people at 92Y Tribeca for Play:List, a live showcase and screening of must-see web series and purposefully entertaining videos (as opposed to those that are accidentally entertaining), curated by internet and Hollywood superstars and entertainment industry notables. You’ll see the videos that have inspired, amused, delighted, or otherwise been enjoyed by those who’ve made it in new and traditional media. You’ll also hear from the curators themselves – about their screening decisions and their careers – in an audience-driven Q&A after the content showcase.

The first installment of Play:List will feature the uber-talented and always awesome Grace Helbig(!) of Daily Grace, My Damn Channel, and (for you old school online video viewers in the audience) Bedtime Stories fame! She’ll be show-and-telling us all about her most beloved online videos and whatever questions, fanboys, fangirls, peers, and entertainment industry executives want to ask.

Are you not familiar with Grace? Here’s a primer:

Be sure to join Grace, Josh Cohen of Tubefilter, Sofia Sheth and more of the YouTube crew on Thursday, March 29 at 7PM at 92Y Tribeca(Editor’s Note: There will be a bar, but the event is open for all ages.)
