Transmission Gagavision is a series of snippets from the day in the life of one of the biggest pop culture stars on the planet. The tagline explains, “Lady Gaga has been sent to Earth to infiltrate human culture, one sequin at a time,” but it’s more like a live-action version of Us Weekly’s Just Like Us! photo journal peppered with behind the scenes footage from Gaga’s tours and Q&As with Germanotta and friends about the conception of art installations, accusations of lip synching, and autographing fans’ body parts
.The Gagavision transmissions concluded in early 2009, but yesterday Lady Gaga let her 9+ million Twitter followers and the world know (along with news of her new gig as a fashion and art columnist for V Magazine) she’s bringing the series back.
Starting next week, the 25-year-old Madonna of Generation Next will release regularly scheduled YouTube videos, showcasing all the exploits of a working pop star and (if the first batch of Transimssion Gagavision is any indication) Gaga’s surprisingly normal sensibilities. Stay tuned.
