In the show’s 2010 Year in Review episode (below) Marshall takes us month-by-month through the high points and gaffes in live music performances of the year.
Sprinkled in is some amusing Canadian modesty, like February’s recap of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. “Us Canadians are still getting over our national embarrassment at the kitsch-filled Closing Ceremonies,” riffed Marshall, “that featured dancing Mounties, giant inflatable beavers and flying Moose.
The stars of the episodes are the clips themselves, with Marshall yielding better than 80% of the screen to showing the well-cut clips with ample running room. And while this may feel a bit like an off-hour VH1 clip show, it serves the purpose of driving me to check out more live clips on the site. That after all is the purpose of this one.
