Remember Jackie Chiles, the beloved fast talking civil litigator from Seinfeld whose lawsuits were thwarted by Kramer time and again? Well, after a decade since Seinfeld aired its final episode, Jackie’s back (and he’s badder and madder than ever).
And now Jackie has moved to Los Angeles. Why did he make the switch from New York , you might ask? “Shoot, bikinis, beaches, and better dollars. I love LA! LA is definitely the place…for litigation. Woo-hoo! Contentious, litigious, scandalous!” Jackie explains in the first episode
.Two of the five episodes have been released on Funny Or Die, the latest of which reveals that President Barack Obama (whom Jackie affectionately refers to as “Barry Oban”) was once a college paralegal intern in Jackie’s office before heading into politics.
Morris wrote the series along with actor-writer Whit Hertford, but not without first obtaining permission from Seinfeld production company Castle Rock Entertainment, and Seinfeld creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.
“We always enjoyed Phil’s ability to bring that character to life,” Seinfeld told the Associated Press. “Glad that it’s living on.”
