Quick Clicks: Shane Dawson, Snooki, Jessica Rose, ‘Family Friendly Horror’

Snooki might be making peanuts on The Jersey Shore, but at least the MTV reality star is getting paid in pistachios too. She appears above in an online-only branded web video campaign for Wonderful Pistachios. It’s part of the Get Crackin’ campaign, a series of eight videos showing how eccentric personalities like Rod Blagojecivh, NFL wide-receiver Chad Ochocinco. and Keyboard Cat crack open a pistachio—in their own ‘unique’ way. Roll International is the creative agency behind this one. [YouTube]

Jessica Rose is the latest web star to join Spherion’s long-running branded web comedy The Temp Life. Rose nerds it up with pal Taryn Southern to play the sister of the scene-stealing temp Nancy Roeder. Some exclusive photos from set (below) show a nerdier side of the former lonelygirl15 star. The fifth season is currently shooting and slated for release in December 6th on My Damn Channel. [TheTempLife.tv]

Shane Dawson shows he can dominate the interactive video game too with his Haunted House Party released over the weekend. Already the video has cracked 2.2 million views, with the whole 9-video “series” over 8 million views total. Directed by Totally Sketch

and produced by powerhouse Black Box TV, there’s a number of YouTuber cameos we spotted: Tay Zonday, iJustine, Kristin Findley, Bree Essrig, Steve Greene, Brittani Louise Taylor, Richard Ryan and Jason Horton. [ShaneDawsonTV]

Family Friendly Horror Films (below) is the latest to come out of the alchemy partnership that put director Brett Register together with the Ask A Ninja guys. The short videos re-cut classic raunchy 80’s horror flicks—like fictional Terrortown—into a cleaner, more family friendly version. They are part of Ask A Ninja’s new Sketch Lab channel which will showcase some of their more experimental comedy works. [Ask a Ninja]

The LXD released Episode 204, “Mark of the Ox” today (below), as their second season continues its weekly rollout on Hulu. This time the focus shifts to The LXD’s rival, Organization X, where it has its own recruiting mission underway. Featured dancers this episode include Travis Wong (Host of MTV’s Ultimate Parkour Challenge), Ricardo “Frantick” Rodriguez, Jr. and Anis Cheurfa amongst others. [Hulu]
