USA's 'Monk' Web Series To Keep Crazy Detective Alive

With USA Network’s Emmy-winning drama Monk set to wrap its seven eight-season run beginning in July, the cabler has announced that the series starring Tony Shalhoub as an obsessive-compulsive detective will live on after the drama concludes its run in the summer.

USA recently confirmed that it is developing a 10-episode web series revolving around Adrian Monk’s childhood.

While no formal announcement has been made on if Emmy winner Shalhoub will appear, USA has been mum on additional details including when the web series will premiere, their length and if Andy Breckman, who has penned more than 100 episodes of the show, will contribute to the writing corps.
