Brian Conley is a journalist, the creator/producer of the excellent news program Alive in Baghdad, and, as Mike says, “a man wiling to accept serious personal risk in order to cover important untold stories….a precious resource.”
He has a history of going to places that the mainstream media ignores in order to record voices that would otherwise would go unheard. These strong convictions recently led Brian to Beijing, where he was detained by the Chinese government with at east eight other American activists for videotaping acts of civil disobedience at a rally held by the Students for a Free Tibet.
