Behind the Scenes of a Lip Dub

Before he left Vimeo, Jakob Lodwick gave the film-centric, video-sharing site he built the legacy of lip dub. Though he didn’t create the single-take, more-than-a-lip-sync, but less-than-a-music-video genre, he certainly popularized it by conceiving of and directing the tour de force below:

Once the Connected Ventures rendition of Harvey Danger’s Flagpole Sitta

hit the internet, it inspired a number of workplace lip dubs the world round, garnered interest from the BBC and the Washing Post, and instilled a sense of jealousy in everyone not working at a seriously cool company.
