Oprah's on YouTube

Move over.  The “Queen of Talk” is carving out a space for herself in the growing world of internet-TV with the launch of Oprah on YouTube.

Oprah’s own video explains it all, but alas, embedding has been disabled.

Oprah’s YouTube channel will feature segments from the famous syndicated talk show ### of the same name, but will focus mostly on behind-the-scenes footage from the “Oprah-cam,” including green-room and backstage footage and, apparently, videos she’s made herself (with her cellphone?).

In the video, Oprah says the channel will feature “exclusive video including video I made myself just for YouTube, what’s coming up on my show from time to time we are going to be telling you, and also what happens backstage and during commercials and more.”

YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen will appear on Oprah on November 5th to publicize the joint venture. The show will also feature some of YouTube’s early stars, I’m sure exchanging some inspiring stories of triumph over negativity and oppression.  They’ll include some clips that anyone online has seen at least twice before.

(Yawn.)  Next?
