VideoJug Gets Syndicated and Green with MSN

Last Friday, the UK-based VideoJug (Tilzy.TV page), known for its campy, self-produced how-tos, inked a video distribution deal with Microsoft and MSN Video to deliver its “video encyclopedia of life” to Microsoft and MSN Video-related platforms across the web.

The partnership kicked off this past weekend with a number of VideoJug’s environmental “Ask the Expert” and “How To” films appearing on MSN sites in conjunction with the corporation’s coverage of Live Earth.

Although the ‘green’ content is useful and well-produced, as Online Video Watch notes, the films haven’t been attracting too much attention on the VideoJug site (their top draw in the category has seen less than 4,000 views).  The videos are good, it’s just they’re presented to the wrong audience.

A distribution deal like this should help.
Your typical visitor to VideoJug probably has other things on his/her mind than limiting carbon emissions. MSN will be able to pick and choose from the site’s library of over 20,000 films to provide relevant content across a number of its properties. (Are you one of the 8 million who watched the Live Earth concert online? Check out some green living clips! You frequent MSN Lifestyle? Take a look at these how-to beauty tips!)

As for VideoJug’s more mainstream fare, I don’t think MSN will have problems finding an audience. Those vids can sell themselves.
