The premiere episode of a new show appeared on Pulp Secret today, from the geniuses at 8Bit Brownies, owned and operated by Casey McKinnon and Rudy Jahchan of Galacticast.
Featuring reviews and news from the comicbook industry, “Comicbook Orange” looks like it’ll be a huge hit with the Pulp Secret audience. At least, it should be. It’s an awesome show that boasts the skillful site gags, pun fun, and clever low-budget editing that McKinnon and Jahchan have brought to every other show that they’ve hosted, including their other Pulp Secret show “Confessions of Pulp Secret.” Each Wednesday, new episodes will appear with reviews of new comics, big and small.
The first episode reviews the new issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8, a continuation of the landmark show that Joss Whedon has decided to write in comic form until his vision is complete. Casey reviews the fourth issue that hits stands today with the enthusiastic acclaim of a Buffy fan (which I can relate to). She also covers Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker’s antihero funfest “Irredeemable Ant-Man #8” and Daniel Merlin Goodbrey’s Last Sane Cowboy and Other Stories, which looks like the standout comic from this round of reviews.
Check out next Wednesday’s Comicbook Orange on Next New Networks‘ Pulp Secret.
