Season Premiere of Live at Gotham

Tonight’s the season premiere of Live at Gotham on Comedy Central Motherload.

In this season’s first episode, famous comedian Artie Lange hosts some of the most famous and the most underground of New York stand-up artists who take the stage at Gotham Comedy Club, part of the national Improv club group. The show is basically Showtime at the Apollo, but with less interludes of gospel and 12-year-olds jumping rope between the stand-up.

There are already a few clips of the second season on the air, including a few interviews with Lange and a minute-long excerpt of comedian Joey Gay’s routine.
