Chart Toppers
Justin Bieber‘s online video dominance is slowly waning. To be clear, the online video destination for the 22-year-old international pop star’s music video library is still receiving an incredible amount of views, but the channel has returned to mortal status after its several-week stint bumping close to 200 million views a week. The Bieb’s YouTube home ended this last week down 4% with more than 149.4 million views. In a closer-than-ever second place is Ryan ToysReview. The online video catalog filled with home movies of six-year-old Ryan playing with toys stayed relatively constant in its week-over-week view count to bring home more than 147.4 million views on the week.
WWE is still in its very familiar third-place position. Your online video stop for all things World Wrestling Entertainment ended the week with just about 139.9 million views. America’s favorite family of seven is up next in the #4 spot. FamilyFunPack closed out the week just shy of 129.2 million views.
And rounding out the Top 5 is LittleBabyBum. The online video repository of music videos of songs from your English-speaking prepubescence amassed almost 118.6 million views on the week.
Top Gainers
The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to Marvel Entertainment.
The YouTube outpost of trailers, teasers, extras, and behind-the-scenes clips for the entertainment franchises in the Marvel Universe owned by Disney had a great week on YouTube thanks to a new trailer for the comic book imprint’s next big theatrical release. Captain America: Civil War is less than two months away from its U.S. debut in theaters on May 6, 2016 and the studio behind it just released a two-minute-and-twenty-four-second look featuring some web-slinging surprises. The video quickly amassed an eight-figure view count and helped the Marvel Entertainment channel to a 2,351% week-over-week increase in views, more than 47.8 million views on the week and the #42 spot on the worldwide chart.

All in all, the top 50 most viewed YouTube channels accounted for 3,505,050,354 views last week. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:
Vevo: 6 channels in the Top 50, with Justin Bieber at #1.
Maker Studios: 5 channels in the Top 50, with TheDiamondMinecart at #12.
AIR, Disney, XMediaDigital: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with AIR’s Miss Katy at #16, Disney’s Marvel Entertainment at #42, and XMediaDigital’s mashamedvedtv at #8.
And here’s the distribution of the this week’s Top 50 YouTube channels by country of origin:
United States: 21 channels in the Top 50.
Great Britain: 7 channels in the Top 50.
India: 4 channels in the Top 50.
Canada, Thailand: 3 channels each in the Top 50.
Russia, Ukraine: 2 channels each in the Top 50.
Argentina, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Turkey: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
