Welcome to our rundown of the most-watched branded YouTube videos of the week.
We’re publishing this snippet of a larger Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report in order to analyze sponsorship trends in the creator economy. Any video launched in tandem with an official brand partner is eligible for the ranking.

Welcome to our latest Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report, which starts with some nuts and ends with a nutty product. Science reenters the field this week with an in-depth look at dam failure from Practical Engineering, Revolt holds strong as more footage from its recent festival (sponsored by Walmart) makes spot #3, and Patrick Cc: goes into what’s been happening with one of Hollywood’s most well-known celebrities.

#1 May/June 2021 VLOG (finally feeling like a normal person lol)
Channel: Arden Rose
Brand: Blue Diamond
Views: 6,605,173
Something happened with this video. It comes from sporadic lifestyle vlogger Arden Rose, who has just under 1.5 million subscribers and brings in around 100,000 views a month. And, apparently, it’s from May/June 2021. There are comments on it from three years ago. There are people in those comments saying they remember watching this in 2021. But according to the video’s data, it was uploaded Oct. 16, 2024–and whatever happened on that day prompted a surge of new engagement. The two-and-a-half-minute clip hit this week’s #1 spot with 6.6 million views and a few dozen new comments. “Arden what’s happening lol,” says one, which pretty much sums up our thoughts too. Our best guess is that Rose had privated the video, and then unprivated it recently, prompting YouTube’s systems to somehow read it as new. But even if the Oct. 16 posting date is an error, this video’s new engagement boost is interesting–and it’s getting millions more eyes on the video’s sponsor, nut brand Blue Diamond.
#2 The Wild Story of the Taum Sauk Dam Failure
Channel: Practical Engineering
Brand: Ground News
Views: 3,886,515
The Taum Sauk power plant is one heck of a beast–just check out that thumbnail ⬆️ for a good look at its massive reservoir. But big beasts can mean big failures when things go wrong, and that’s exactly what happened in December 2005. This video covering the reservoir’s overflow incident and the subsequent flooding of nearby Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park in Missouri comes from Practical Engineering, a channel whose content is written and hosted by civil engineer Grady Hillhouse. We won’t spoil too much of what Hillhouse goes into here, but he follows how one small mistake can result in major damage. This deep dive is sponsored by Ground News, a site that lets readers compare media coverage from across the political spectrum. Unsurprisingly, since the presidential election grows ever closer, Ground News also sponsored nearly 50 other videos this week.
#3 Can DDG & Jacquees Uncover Free’s Mysterious Career? Lala Milan Hosts | Receipts Live
Channel: Revolt
Brand: Walmart
Views: 3,198,934
Revolt returns to the list with more footage from its first-ever Revolt World–a three-day fest in Atlanta that brought attendees in for looks at the Black entertainment network’s shows, live music performances, panels, masterclasses, and branded activations. Last week, it snagged spot #2 with a lengthy recap of the entire event, but this week, it’s here with a special live edition of Receipts, its comedy game show hosted by comedian LaLa Milan. Like last week’s video, this week’s video, and Revolt World itself, Receipts is sponsored by Walmart.
#4 The Awakening of Jim Carrey: Hollywood’s Worst Nightmare
Channel: Patrick Cc:
Brand: Füm
Views: 3,148,082
Jim Carrey is one of Hollywood’s most well-known faces, having starred in dozens of major films, from The Mask to The Truman Show to Bruce Almighty and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He’s also been open with his mental health struggles, and over the past few years has stepped back from acting and from public life (only returning to the former to star as over-the-top villain Dr. Robotnik in the live-action Sonic movies). Patrick Cc: follows Carrey’s gradual disengagement with the film industry, showing clips like the 2017 Fashion Week interview where Carrey told an interviewer, “There is no me,” he said. “There are just things happening. […] Here’s the thing, it’s not our world. We don’t matter, there’s the good news.” His video is sponsored by vape company Füm, which promises its product is “the good habit” with “no vapor, no nicotine, just delicious natural flavored air.”
BONUS #865 Russell Brand Is Selling A Magical Amulet | Sad Boyz
Channel: Sad Boyz
Brand: Mint Mobile, Zocdoc
Views: 93,500
Yeah, so, Russell Brand is kind of on one right now. The actor/podcaster has faced numerous allegations of sexual misconduct over the years, but those resurfaced in 2023, when a report from The Sunday Times chronicled the stories of four women who said Brand had abused them. Following that report, Brand lost his publisher, management agency, charities he was associated with, and his YouTube monetization. Now he’s trying to make money by selling a “magical” $240 amulet that he says will protect people from the “evil energies” generated by cell phones. Okay, man. Anyway, this video about the whole shebang is from podcast Sad Boyz, and they (ironically) scored a sponsorship from Ryan Reynolds-popularized cell phone company Mint Mobile.
…and there’s a lot more data where that came from. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel – and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube – click here.
