TwitchCon is returning to North America and Europe in 2024. The yearly convention organized by Amazon-owned streaming hub Twitch will make its first visit to Rotterdam on June 29 and 30. Three months later, the streaming community will flock to San Diego for TwitchCon North America, which will run from September 20-22.
The two TwitchCon events will celebrate streamers through keynote addresses, panels, meet-and-greets, esports tournaments, and an in-person Creator Camp. The platform’s annual gathering began in 2015 in San Francisco and has since visited cities around the world.
The European edition of the convention is coming to Rotterdam six years after it debuted in Berlin. Since then, TwitchCon Europe has traveled to Amsterdam and Paris. The San Diego Convention Center, best known as the home of Comic-Con International, has established itself as the perennial host of TwitchCon North America.

Though TwitchCon has moved around a fair bit over the years, Twitch is projecting some stability for its event series. TwitchCon Europe is slated to return to Rotterdam in 2025 and 2026, while San Diego plans to host TwitchCon North America through 2028.
“TwitchCon is a celebration of self-expression and creativity, championing creators who have changed the landscape for content and entertainment. It is a space that allows us to explore the evolution of livestreaming and where communities come together,” said Twitch CEO Dan Clancy in a statement. “Rotterdam offers an accessible central location for the European community. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to come together and we’re excited to announce the multi-year agreement with the venue which will allow us to build on and improve our event year over year.”
Clancy recently announced the difficult decision to lay off more than 500 Twitch employees. The platform is looking to stay competitive in the increasingly busy streaming world. One of its primary challengers is Kick, which trolled Twitch by announcing a (fake) KickCon event on the same weekend as TwitchCon.
