Digital Rights Startup SuperBam Names Former OpenSlate Exec Chief Revenue Officer

Digital rights management startup SuperBam has hired a new chief revenue officer, tapping Carlos Restrepo, who formerly served in the same capacity at online video analytics firm OpenSlate.

In his new position, Restrepo will lead sales and global business development for SuperBam from the company’s New York offices. At OpenSlate, Restrepo previously led sales and helped secure strategic partnerships.

SuperBam was founded by the entrepreneur Rian Bosak, who also helped create the content rights revenue driver used by seminal multi-channel networks like StyleHaul and Fullscreen. SuperBam currently works with roughly 200 creators and media companies — including Donut Media and The Game Theorists — across myriad platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and TikTok to help them identify and monetize pirated views.

“I joined SuperBam because I truly believe in the core mission of assisting creators and media companies as they navigate the complex world of rights management in the evolving digital world,” Restrepo said in a statement. “I’m excited to get to know and work with all of our amazing clients, and forge new partnerships that grow their business and protect their social video content IP.”

“I’m thrilled to have Carlos join us in this important leadership role,” Bosak added. “His proven track record of team building and growth acceleration coupled with deep advertising technology and social video experience all combine to make him the perfect fit for our team as we expand our business in 2020 and beyond.”
