The biggest star on Amazon Prime Video is also the biggest star in our Global Sub Top 50 chart. MrBeast, who is the most subscribed YouTuber in the world, is also the most-subscribed YouTuber of the week. He added two million new subscribers during the last week of January.

Four channels added at least one million new subscribers during our most recent seven-day measurement period. The highest-ranking channel in the six-digit club, however, is the one that can tell us the direction in which this chart is heading.
Super Bowl weekend is a big moment for Latin American pop culture. Creators are joining in.
The upcoming Super Bowl will double as a showcase for some of Latin America’s biggest pop stars. Bad Bunny will lead the halftime show while J. Balvin will go under center before the game as part of YouTube’s celebrity flag football event. When you add in last week’s Grammys — which saw Bad Bunny take home the Album of the Year prize — Latinos around the world have ample reasons to celebrate.
Creators on YouTube Shorts are joining that revelry. The latest edition of the Global Sub Top 50 includes seven channels from Spanish-speaking countries, as well as five more from Latin American pop culture hotspot Brazil. Two of those Latinos made it into the top five: Alejo Igoa hit #4 while GONZOK came in at #5.
Igoa is a familiar face who has become a mainstay near the top of our charts. Compared to him, GONZOK is a relative newcomer. After adding the 721st-most subscribers during the previous week, he moved up to fifth by bringing 900,000 new fans to his channel. That gave him close to 30 million subscribers, which is a far cry from Igoa’s 105 million, but still a strong number in its own right.
GONZOK’s bilingual approach is key to his success. It allows him to perform comedic skits in both Spanish and English, reaching a whole world of viewers in the process. When he ventures into content categories like lifehacks, he keeps things simple enough to appeal to his entire multilingual fanbase.
Cultivating a worldwide audience isn’t just a simple hack that grows bilingual channels — it also allows the creators themselves to broaden their horizons. By seeking subscribers around the world, the entrants in the Global Sub Top 50 chart are keeping their fingers on the pulse of global pop culture. Translation: Some members of the Top 50 know all the hottest memes.
SANTYPRO is the shining example of that idea. His activity in the Roblox game Steal A Brainrot allows him to appeal to brainrot enjoyers the world over. And when he clips his best Steal a Brainrot highlights for distribution on YouTube Shorts, he obviously keeps it bilingual.
I don’t know if SANTYPRO will get a cameo in the Steal a Brainrot movie, but he’s doing fine on his own. He added 720,000 new weekly subscribers to reach eighth place in our ranking.
Though creators like GONZOK and SANTYPRO are peaking on the eve of the Super Bowl, the universality of their strategies proves that they can remain relevant on any day of the year. That was one of the recurring stories we saw in 2025: Latin American creators followed trends from around the world to go from obscurity to worldwide fame. It looks like we’ll be telling the same rags-to-riches story in 2026, and we just got two good examples during the year’s first month.
