Content creators will kick off 2025 as special guests at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
Vine star turned vlogger Liza Koshy co-hosted the Times Square ball-drop bash alongside Seacrest in 2022, but this year’s event is slated to have more focus on creators and their content than ever before.
Rhett & Link, “very demure” creator Jools Lebron, cucumber enthusiast Logan Moffitt, and rapper Harry Mack will all pop in for guest spots during the show. On top of their appearances, songs that were TikTok-platinum this year will also get a spotlight, with performances of “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)” by Dasha, “From the Start” by Laufey, “Nasty” by Tinashe, and more.

Dick Clark Productions tells Tubefilter that each creator will tie their portion of the show into their digital content:
- Rhett & Link will mark the 26th season of their weekday variety YouTube show Good Mythical Morning
- Moffitt will bring the cukes to “serve up a vegetable themed ‘Happy New Year’ message”
- Lebron will join the night’s co-host Rita Ora to celebrate Dictionary.com naming “demure” word of the year—and talk about 2024’s top news events and trends, judging whether or not each of them is “very demure”
- and Mack will get the crowd involved, weaving through Times Square to get random words from audience members, which he’ll then work into a freestyle rap
The show will also feature a variety of non-content-creator appearances from folks like Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, Alanis Morrisette, Natasha Bedingfield, and T-Pain, but it’s cool to see that it’s putting big emphasis on our industry and that industry’s impact on the world.
New Year’s Rockin’ Eve kicks off at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
