If you don’t get at least 227 million views per week, don’t think about claiming a spot in this week’s Global Top 50. That was the minimum benchmark for entrance into our ranking of the most-watched YouTube channels of the moment.

Family content? That’s a BingGo.
It feels like YouTube family content is crossing a new milestone every week. This time out, channels catering to YouTube’s youngest set are as prevalent as ever, with ten of the top twenty channels focusing on either family or educational content.
Next to chart stalwarts like J House jr. (#2), Toys and Colors (#3), and Sierra and Rhia FAM (#4), we see some highly-ranked channels that are more recent additions to the Top 50. One hub that fits that bill is BingGo Leaders, which discussed in the Top 50 write-up a few weeks ago.
BingGo Leaders has only improved since then. It has reached an all-time high ranking of #11, which it hit after getting more views in a single week than it ever had before.
The Vietnamese nonprofit that supports BingGo Leaders on YouTube must be pleased with the channel’s ongoing success. Then again, when it comes to the children’s side of YouTube, virality feels like a foregone conclusion.
Survive and advance
Those two verbs, famously combined by college basketball coach Jim Valvano years ago, also apply to a YouTube creator named Mitra. By showing the skills he has learned to make his way in the great outdoors, Mitra has joined a growing contingent of creators who thrive on YouTube Shorts.
The first wilderness survival creator who popped onto our radar was Sofi Manassyan, who didn’t quite make it into this week’s Global Top 50 (though she did crack the U.S.-only version of our chart). While Manassyan’s viewership is slightly down, Mitra’s is way up. He just broke into the Global Top 50 for the first time after seeing his channel rise precipitously at the end of August.
Will Mitra continue to move up in our rankings, or will other survivalists like Manassyan catch up to him? If only there was some way to put a bunch of survivors together on a remote island to see who wins. Too bad nothing like that exists.
The new triple threat
Back in the day, calling an artist a “triple threat” implied that they could succeed as a singer, dancer, and actor. But in the age of YouTube, there’s a new set of three providing a showcase of up-and-comers: Long-form, short-form, live.
An explanation of what I mean can be found on the YouTube channel of the Vietnamese creator Nam Phương. With his combination of acting chops and a muscled physique, Phương is one of the proteges of Ben Eagle, a cinematic martial artist we’ve discussed in this space in the past. Phương stars in Shorts, and he also uses live broadcasts to count down to subscriber milestones. With a few Shorts compilations, he could easily incorporate some long-form content as well.
Of course, Phương is not shy when it comes to showing off his body. His ability to show off all of his assets — both artistic and physical — has made him a top draw on YouTube Shorts. He pulled 270.8 million weekly views to move into 31st place in our most recent Global Top 50.
