VidSummit 2024 is upon us, and for those heading to the Irving Convention Center next week, we’ve put together an official Tubefilter guide to the event, packed full of must-see programming and a wide variety of creator-led panels.
VidSummit has been around since 2014, and was started by Derral Eves, a longtime video marketing strategy consultant who saw the need for a biz dev event dedicated exclusively to digital content creators. This is set to be VidSummit’s biggest year yet, with its largest number of attendees–3,500–and its most stacked schedule of keynotes, discussion panels, workshops, and more.
Since there are dozens of programs for attendees to choose from, we wanted to give y’all a heads up on what we consider VidSummit 2024’s must-see programming. Our selections hit everything from the big keynotes (featuring HopeScope, MatPat and Stephanie Patrick, Preston Playz, and Eves himself) to multi-creator panels (How to Become a Full-Time Creator Before 20 Years Old ft. Jenny Hoyos, Jack Gordon, Hudson Matter, and Josh Kreuger) to workshops on things like protecting yourself from doxxing, plus case studies on viral phenomena like The Amazing Digital Circus.

Here are our official picks…
TUESDAY, SEPT. 3
7-9 p.m.: Hit the Spotter Kickoff Party (and then get a good night’s sleep, because tomorrow is an early start)
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4
8 a.m.: Secure Your Future As A Content Creator with Roberto Blake & Nick Nimmin
9 a.m.: The Eras: How to Successfully Pivot your Channel with HopeScope (Check out our preview for this keynote here.)
10:15 a.m.: The State of Creator Economy: What Does the Future Hold for Creators with Kinigra Deon, Aaron DeBevoise, Colin & Samir, and YouTube‘s Senior Director of Growth and Discovery, Todd Beaupré
12 p.m.: How ‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ Broke The Internet & Crowdfunded Their Future with Glitch Studios founders (and brothers) Luke and Kevin Lerdwichagul
2:40 p.m.: Unlocking Infinite Worlds: The Power of Content Creators with UGC with Typical Gamer and Chad Mustard (We picked this panel because it’s focused on Roblox and Fortnite. We’re watching those games, too–especially Roblox, which generated $1.2 billion in the creator economy between 2017 and 2023.)
2:40 p.m.: Navigating Taxes as a Content Creator with Nate Coughran (We know this might not sound like the most exciting panel, but it’s very necessary knowledge for any creator making this industry their full-time business. This is also at the same time as Unlocking Infinite Worlds, but we think both are valuable to creators, so you’ll have to pick!)
3:30 p.m.: Creator Safety: Lessons from a “Consensual Doxxer” with NotKahnJunior
4:20 p.m.: Creators Investing in Creators: The Mythical Approach with Mythical investment and advisory leaders Jawhara Tariq and Gwen Miller
5 p.m.: Keynote: MatPat & Stephanie Patrick
THURSDAY, SEPT. 5
9 a.m.: Keynote: Preston Playz
10 a.m.: REiMAGiNiNG the CREATOR ECONOMY with Shonduras
11 a.m.: The 7-Figure Creator: Legal | Brand Deals | Equity & Exits with Tyler Chou (Speaking of MatPat and Stephanie…creators making successful exits from their own channels has been a topic of discussion lately, and we think this panel from Chou–who helped one of her clients exit their channel for an eight-figure sum–could give creators valuable insight.)
