TikTok is weaving its Pride Month celebration into its social shopping hub. The platform has revealed its annual list of the “Visionary Voices” who shine within its LGBTQIA+ community, and it is giving those creators a chance to promote queer-led businesses on TikTok Shop.
As with TikTok’s other Visionary Voices lineups — which are typically unveiled at the start of cultural heritage months — the list of LGBTQ+ influencers is separated across multiple categories. The “Creators” highlighted in a TikTok Newsroom post are a diverse selection of queer stars, including humorous fashion creator Zach Jelks and married comedians Darcy and Jer. The “Industry Disruptors” category recognizes individuals like newscaster V Spehar who have used TikTok to innovate within their respective fields.
The Visionary Voices list also include some small businesses owned by or affiliated with queer creators. Patrick Starrr’s ONE/SIZE, which emphasizes the makeup artist’s commitment to themes like acceptance and inclusion, is among the listed brands.

During June, TikTok is encouraging its community to interact with those LGBTQ-friendly vendors on TikTok Shop. The app’s ecommerce hub will host #ShopWithPride, a campaign that will feature exclusive items and in-app activations. ONE/SIZE is one of several brands involved in that initiative. Since TikTok is shifting more of its ecommerce resources toward the U.S. market, the app’s themed, shoppable campaign comes as no surprise.
TikTok’s other Pride Month happenings are detailed in the Newsroom post. Creators in the gaming, fashion, and music categories can enjoy LGBTQ+ festivities, and a slew of safety features will safeguard queer users across the platform.
“We have clear policies in place and remove content and accounts that engage in harassment, bullying, hate speech, and hateful behavior, such as deadnaming or misgendering,” reads the Newsroom post. “We recently launched an Inclusion and Belonging guide on our Safety Center for members of the LGBTQIA+ community that includes information on the tools and resources available to them to create a TikTok experience that allows for authenticity and creativity.”
TikTok has typically been very active during Pride Month. Thanks in part to the app’s commitment to its LGBTQ+ community, queer creators of color recently named it as their most-trusted social platform.
