Underscore Talent

Underscore Talent launches STEM division with Michael Reeves, William Osman, Emily the Engineer, and more (Exclusive)

Underscore Talent has a new STEM, Learning, and Education division–and, to lead that division, it’s tapped longtime talent manager David Seelos, who is bringing in his roster of top science creators, including Michael Reeves, William Osman, TheBackyardScientist, NileRed, Code Bullet, Emily the Engineer, Tom Stanton, and PeterSripol.

Seelos worked alongside Ian Dokie, founder of Concurrent Studios, to co-found their own management company, End Card Digital, in 2019; they focused on signing creators that “build, educate and entertain.” End Card will “phase out” as Seelos moves his roster to Underscore, and Dokie will shift to other ventures in the creator space, Seelos says.

Seelos also notably worked with Dokie and Osman to build Open Sauce, the content creator-focused STEM convention that expects to bring 150 creators, 500 exhibitors, and 20,000+ attendees to the Cow Palace in San Francisco next month. (We’ll be there, too!)

“STEM is an accelerating area within the creator landscape. Thanks to the resources and support of [Underscore co-founders/co-CEOs] Dan Weinstein

, Reza Izad and the team at Underscore Talent, this opportunity allows me to provide my current and future creators key advantages to build their brand, thrive, and achieve limitless success,” Seelos tells Tubefilter. “I look forward to bringing new ideas and opportunities that will lead to significant growth and accomplishments for each of them.”

Weinstein adds, “Over the past decade, David has dedicated his career to the digital space and represented an impressive roster of prominent creators. David’s career is marked by his unwavering commitment to his clients’ best interests and his deep appreciation for their value as both individuals and content creators. His strong relationships with brands and agencies, coupled with a vast network of talent, have been central to his success and we are thrilled that he’ll now lead this first-of-its kind division at Underscore.”

Together, Seelos’ roster has more than 30 million subscribers on YouTube.
