Viral Nation taps Nicholas Spiro as CPO, Ahmad Nassri as CTO

Content creator-focused marketing, technology, and talent management company Viral Nation has tapped two new executives: Nicholas Spiro as Chief Product Officer, and Ahmad Nassri as Chief Technology Officer.

Spiro comes from Snapchat, where he was Director of the platform’s domestic and international product marketing and strategy teams in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Prior to joining Snapchat, he was Director of Product Specialists at Twitter, and prior to that, he was Facebook‘s Senior Lead of Product Strategy, Go-To-Market, Business Engineering, and Partner Solutions.

“This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Viral Nation and contribute to the evolution of our product offerings,” Spiro said in a statement. “What makes social platforms so powerful is exactly what gives influencer marketing its power and potential: the human need for community. I look forward to leveraging my experience and collaborating with our talented technology team in driving innovation—delivering impactful solutions for our brands and creators.”

Nassri, meanwhile, is a longtime Toronto-based CTO who’s held leadership roles at companies like npm, TELUS, and Kong. He also founded REFACTOR, a community for developers, technologists, and entrepreneurs that’s grown to over 17,000 members.

“I’m delighted to join and collaborate with the talented team at Viral Nation,” Nassri said. “Together, we will continue to evolve our tech stack to unlock new opportunities for our clients and help them do social-first with agility and at enterprise scale.”

Joe Gagliese, Viral Nation’s co-CEO, added, “Technology is critical to a social-first strategy. We are thrilled to welcome Nicholas and Ahmad to Viral Nation and are confident that their extensive experience will play a pivotal role in helping our clients scale their social-first marketing efforts.”

Viral Nation says Spiro’s “leadership and experience in driving performance revenue and innovation across major social platforms will play a major role in elevating Viral Nation’s products,” and Nassri’s “proven track record in building innovative technology solutions positions him as a key driver in Viral Nation’s technological evolution.”

Viral Nation was founded in 2014, and has worked with thousands of content creators and brands like Anheuser-Busch, Baidu, Campbell’s, The Coca-Cola Company, Disney, eOne, Microsoft, Meta, Tencent, TJX, Uber, and Warner Bros. Its most recent development was the launch of Viral Nation Ventures, a product development arm that partners with creators to launch bespoke merch.
