If you spend a lot of time watching YouTube, you may be familiar with World of Warships, the naval combat franchise that has sponsored some of the platform’s biggest creators. On February 19, the Wargaming-owned title debuted its newest and most expansive creator partnership: On that day, the World of Warships brand debuted the first of five new commanders inspired by popular streamers.

Moist Cr1TiKaLSapnapLudwigNadeshot, and CouRage are the five creators who worked alongside the World of Warships team to develop custom camouflage, flags, and commander avatars. Those cosmetic items are available as part of an initiative called the Creatorverse, which is going live on the PC version of the game as well as its console title World of Warships: Legends.

The new assets are rolling out one per week, starting with Moist Cr1TiKaL‘s set. The streamer and commentator (whose real name is Charlie White) explained that his father is an expert World of Warships player with a 99% win rate in the game. “When World of Warships reached out and asked if I’d be interested in being a commander in the game, I said abso-f**king-lutely, because I love the idea of my dad playing World of Warships with my commander and my ship skin,” White said.

White praised Wargaming for giving him the freedom to design his own World of Warships content. That level of creative control has become standard in these sorts of partnerships. Other creators who have shown up as limited-edition video game characters include leading YouTuber MrBeast (who fell into the Stumble Guys universe) and Twitch streamers TimTheTatman and Nickmercs (who showed up in Call of Duty).

Wargaming understands the market power possessed by the internet’s top influencers. According to data from Gospel StatsWorld of Warships has served as the sponsor for 90 YouTube videos with at least 20,000 views over the past 90 days.

Fans who want to get their hands on the game’s creator-inspired commanders by following a sign-up link that provides economic bonuses and access to the corresponding ships for the five new avatars. By applying the corresponding invite code sent out by each participating creator, players can unlock that creator’s commander for free. More details about the Creatorverse can be found here.
