Top 5 Branded Videos of the Week: Airrack goes fast, gets Air Up

Welcome to our rundown of the most-watched branded YouTube videos of the week.

We’re publishing this snippet of a larger Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report in order to analyze sponsorship trends in the creator economy. Any video launched in tandem with an official brand partner is eligible for the ranking.

And – as the name up above would imply – all the data comes from Gospel Stats. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel – and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube – click here.

The partnerships featured in our Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report include major retailers, small businesses, massive media companies, and creators with followings of all sizes. But when we thought about what to include for our first ever excerpt on Tubefilter, we knew it was best to just focus on the top.

Here are the Top 5 (well…4 with a bonus) Most Viewed Branded YouTube videos of the week ending September 24, 2023. It’s obvious, but I’ll write it anyway – the upper reaches of the ranking are dominated by some of the biggest creators on YouTube. Check them out.

#1 honey, where is my F-35?
Channel: TheRussianBadger
Brand: Gamer Supps

You that feeling when you’re out for a ride in your $200 million aircraft, and you suddenly look around and realize it’s missing? That (not so) relatable scenario plays out in the most-watched sponsored YouTube video of the week, which comes to us courtesy of TheRussianBadger. The Canadian streamer (pictured above) continued his long-standing partnership with Gamer Supps by giving the “official energy drink of shitposting” a shoutout. Other channels have recently partnered with Gamer Supps include Grizzy, Yumi, and the H3 Podcast.

#2 I Tried The World’s Fastest Vehicles
Channel: Airrack
Brand: Air Up

Eric “Airrack” Decker is back with another YouTube blockbuster. After feeling the need for speed, the 26-year-old vlogger strapped into a series of fast vehicles. But as we learned from the #1 entry on this list, supersonic jets don’t come cheap. To fund his journey from old-timey bicycle to helicopter to rocket car, Decker teamed with Air Up. It was a win for everyone who worked on the video: Airrack was able to afford his adrenaline rush, and his editors all walked away with brand-new water bottles. Thanks to Decker’s recent partnership with talent agency UTA, he’ll have plenty more brand partnerships going forward.

#3 Road Trip Stereotypes
Channel: Dude Perfect
Brand: BetterHelp

I can think of multiple road trips I’ve taken that would have been improved if a licensed therapist had been in the vehicle with me. Dude Perfect explored that connection in the latest episode of its Stereotypes series. The Texas-based creator group pointed out the frustrations, annoyances, and idiosyncracies that can plague long car rides. The ultimate takeaway? As the BetterHelp ad says, “you can always benefit from talking to somebody.” Dude Perfect fans seemed to love the crossover and expressed their support in the video’s comment section.

#4 iPhone 15 Pro Max vs 15 Pro / 15 Plus / 15 / 14 / 13 Battery Test!
Channel: MrWhoseTheBoss
Brand: Eight Sleep

Tech influencer Arun Maini has attracted 16.6 million subscribers on his primary YouTube channel by establishing himself as one of the most honest and thorough product reviewers on the internet. His recent rundown of current-generation iPhones and their respective batteries is a rigorous experiment backed up by Maini’s commentary. So when MrWhoseTheBoss makes an endorsement, you can tell that he means it. That’s good news for Eight Sleep, which advertised its top-of-the-line bedroom accessories by attaching itself to Maini’s iPhone exploration.

BONUS: #16 ISHOWSPEED: Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley
Channel: Sundae Conversation
Brand: Raising Cane’s

Amelia Dimoldenberg isn’t the only creator who’s mixing awkward questions with fried chicken. The podcast Sundae Conversations utilized the same combo to spice up an interview with controversial streamer iShowSpeed. As host Caleb Pressley peppered Speed with odd questions, his co-host chowed down on a Caniac combo. Chicken Shop Date comparisons aside, Raising Cane’s is wise to insert itself in gossipy conversations. Sundae Conversations loves to sip the tea, and sweet tea happens to be one of the top Cane’s menu items.

…and there’s a lot more data where that came from. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel – and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube – click here.
