Airrack signs with UTA, hires COO to pursue “digital partnerships, TV, live events, and publishing”

Ascendant creator Eric Decker is making moves that will allow him to continue expanding his digital presence. The man known to his 14.3 million YouTube followers as Airrack has signed with talent agency UTA for representation in all areas.

Three years after his 2020 breakout, Decker continues to reach new heights on YouTube. UTA told The Hollywood Reporter that Decker has averaged about 500,000 new subscribers per month over the past year. Those fresh followers have witnessed some of Deckers most innovative and high-value productions to date, including a prank video in which he appeared to walk on water. That clip has picked up more than 27 million views on YouTube.

In true Airrack fashion, Decker plans to continue pushing the envelope. In addition to his UTA deal, he is bringing on Josh Mattingly as the Chief Operating Officer of his production company. Mattingly is a longtime online video veteran who has held high-level roles for channels like Smosh, PrestonPlayz, and Donut Media.

Decker has made a concerted effort to build a brand for himself outside of YouTube. He has mentored up-and-coming videomakers through his Creator Now film school, celebrated his peers as the host of the 2022 Streamy Awards, and experimented with emerging technologies like NFTs.

He will continue to pursue ambitious projects alongside Mattingly. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new Airrack COO will lead a push into “digital partnerships, TV, live events, and publishing” for the titular creator.

UTA boasts a deep lineup of top creators. Other signees who have linked up with the agency over the past year include TikTok lifestyle star Alix Earle, YouTube Shorts standout Zhong, and VTuber Shxtou.
