YouTube’s favorite treasure hunter is diving into The Weather Channel

In 2018, Brandon Jordan told Tubefilter that he “never planned to be a YouTuber.” Despite those meager aspirations, Jordan has managed to strike gold in both the literal and figurative senses.

Jordan, who dives for treasure on the Jiggin’ with Jordan YouTube channel, is making his move to TV. The Floridian creator is the star of Search Party with Brandon Jordan, which premieres on The Weather Channel on June 18.

Search Party will resemble Jordan’s YouTube videos. In each episode of his TV program, he’ll search below the water’s surface in hopes of recovering lost items. “I travel all around and find stuff people lose underwater,” Jordan said in a promo for his new show. “Did you lose something? Don’t worry, I’ll probably find it.”

Jordan’s sub-nautical adventures have already led to numerous discoveries. He has recovered working iPhones and located discarded murder weapons. He’s also an avid environmentalist who occasionally saves fish from dried-up water sources.

His move to TV was revealed in May 2022. He teamed up with Dorsey Pictures, which has an indirect link to his YouTube career. The production company is tied to German conglomerate ProSiebenSat.1, which also owns digital network Studio71. That company’s co-founders reunited to launch Underscore Talent, which reps Jordan.

Search Party will premiere at 9 PM ET on the 18th. If you don’t have access to The Weather Channel through a traditional cable channel, you can also find the meteorological hub on its connected TV app, which is available through Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Samsung, Vizio, and Xfinity Flex.
