The #1 YouTube channel in the world is beginning its third-straight month at the front of our Global Top 50 chart. No one was able to catch that channel in February or March, and at the beginning of April, the competition is still far away from the top spot.

Chart Toppers
Make it nine weeks in a row for Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes. The family-friendly lost 22% of its viewership week-over-week, but that didn’t stop it from holding onto the pole position in our worldwide ranking. With 520.4 million weekly views, Cocomelon established a gap of about 16 million views between it and the next-most watched channel. The U.S.-based hub is still second on YouTube in terms of lifetime viewership, but as far as 2023 goes, Cocomelon is #1.
Alan Chikin Chow made a huge leap in the Global Top 50. The California-based creator of comedic clips has been a regular presence near the top of our charts since the start of the year, and his viewership is only increasing. Over seven days, Chow’s traffic jumped up 49%, which moved him from 10th place in the world up to second. Chow collected 504.7 million weekly views in all, which made his channel the only non-Cocomelon hub to cross the half-billion view threshold this week.
The next channel up in the Global Top 50 also experienced massive week-over-week growth as the calendar turned over to April. At the end of March, Turkey-based hub Beter Böcük landed just outside of the Top 50, but the Turkey-based hub more than doubled its viewership week-over-week to reach finish third in the world behind Cocomelon and Alan Chikin Chow. Popular short-form videos (and compilations of them) led Beter Böcük to 492.3 million weekly views. In addition, the Shorts standout crossed 25 million subscribers.
Here’s a line of text I didn’t think I’d write this week: T-Series is in fourth place in the Global Top 50. That placement would be an all-time high for most channels, but for India’s largest record label, fourth place is a rare anomaly. It’s the first time T-Series has finished in any position other than first or second in this year’s Global Top 50 rankings. The good news is that T-Series can rebound as soon as next week. Thanks to its 483.1 million weekly views, it’s only a few percentage points behind the current chart leaders.
Kimpro earned another strong finish to round out this week’s global top five. The Korean channel, which delivers tutorials and dances to an audience of nearly ten million subscribers, picked up 439.8 million views during the week that was.
Top Gainers
Kimpro is the highest-ranking Korean channel in this week’s Global Top 50, but two other creators from the East Asian nation cracked the chart as well, and none of them are K-pop acts. Though Korea’s musical sensations took a week off from our ranking, Seungbini made sure the Top 50 possessed a plethora of good looks.
Like many YouTube Shorts creators, Seungbini uploads a wide variety of videos on his personal page. Thanks to his signature glare, swoopy haircut, and penchant for makeup tutorials, the Korean creator fits the definition of a YouTube beauty guru, but his most-watched Shorts offer more than just a pretty face.
Seungbini first gathered a following on TikTok, and he loves to riff on viral videos you may have seen on your For You Page. He’s essentially a short-form mythbuster. If he sees a video that appears to be faked or embellished, he will show his viewers the truth — even if it means he has to buy and apply a weird-looking fake tongue.

That video has received 177 million views, making it one of the biggest hits on the Seungbini YouTube channel. During the first week of April, the short-form star snagged 275.8 million weekly views in all. That was more than twice as many hits as he recorded over the previous seven days, and as a result, he surged to 30th place in the Global Top 50.
Though Seungbini’s YouTube following isn’t as big as his TikTok audience yet, he’s about to reach five million subscribers. His career appears to be on the up and up. After all, there will be no shortage of suspicious short-form videos for him to debunk.
