Want to play a parkour video game? So does Storror.

On the Storror YouTube channel, a group of skilled parkour athletes has traversed skyscrapers, walls, and rugged terrain. Now, the U.K.-based crew is inviting their fans to experience a virtual version of their death-defying sport. A game called Storror Parkour Pro is currently in development, and the stars of the titular channel are doing their part to ensure that players experience the thrills of freerunning.

Though Storror appears in the title of the game, Parkour Pro is developed by the indie studio Hole in the Sleeve, which has worked on racing games for franchises like Need for Speed and Burnout. The developer’s current project will also feature races. Players will be able to meet up with one another before speeding across the game’s environment. Storror Parkour Pro is described as the first multiplayer freerunning game on the market (single-player parkour experiences like Mirror’s Edge have previously been published.)

Storror Parkour Pro is available for PC. While the game is still in early access, Storror’s members are encouraging their fans to pick up copies. The funds generated through sales will help Storror and Hole in the Sleeve maintain creative control throughout the development process.

A recent update from Hole in the Sleeve depicts the wall runs, roof gaps, and leaps of faith that will be possible in Storror Parkour Pro. The members of Storror have donned motion-capture suits so that their movements can be translated into the game. The update compares Storror Parkour Pro to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and suggests that the former game could do for freerunning what the latter did for skateboarding.

This is not the first time Storror has expanded beyond its popular channel. The group’s massive YouTube presence — nearly 8 million subscribers and over 1.1 billion lifetime views — has enabled a number of IRL ventures, include a feature-length documentary that explored “roof culture.”

“Our YouTube content and what people watch of us online is just one element of what we do,” the group revealed in a 2019 interview with Tubefilter. “Storror is a business. If we are not working on new designs for our clothing line, we could be consulting on movie or TV projects, or planning our next trip!”

Storror’s planning could soon produce the most detailed parkour video game on the market. So if you’ve ever wanted to clear a 20-foot gap in a single leap, now’s your chance to get running.
