TommyInnit, Slimecicle, Ranboo, Ph1LzA, and Wilbur Soot say “Sorry” with new comedy group

Is it too late now to say sorry? Not according to TommyInnit, Slimecicle, Ranboo, Ph1LzA, and Wilbur Soot.

The five Minecraft stars are the members of a new comedy group called The Sorry Boys, which is now live on its titular YouTube channel. The new hub will offer the quintet’s comedic stylings while also giving their fans a chance to check out their real-life adventures rather than their in-game exploits.

The members of The Sorry Boys are known for their exploits on the Dream SMP Minecraft server, through which they have all gathered at least three million subscribers on their respective YouTube channels. Despite that connection, the Sorry Boys channel will not be focused on gaming. Instead, it will deliver fast-paced sketches pulled from the minds of its five stars. A trailer for the group’s videos promises kooky costumes, toy guns, loud shouts, burning effigies, and much more.

TommyInnit, whose real name is Tom Simons, told Tubefilter that he has been plotting a group channel “for many years.” He and Wilbur (real name Will Gold) came up with the Sorry Boys name during a car ride. “Wilbur convinced [Slimecicle] to join on a 2 a.m. bike ride around Brighton,” Simons added.

Together, the five gents will build a brand that will fall somewhere between a sketch comedy group and a vlog. Simons said that Sorry Boys videos will resemble uploads on his personal channel, though these clips will be “so much funnier” than those vlogs. An auxiliary hub titled Very Sorry will offer extras, and Simons told Tubefilter that The Sorry Boys will produce Shorts “if they’re funny enough.”

Simons said that the Sorry Boys’ roster is currently capped at five, though he left open the possibility of adding more members in the future. Fans who know the comedy creators from their Dream SMP experiences can hope for the server’s titular founder to show up in a Sorry Boys video, but the man known as Dream hasn’t hinted at any guest appearances.

For now, Dream SMP fans will rely on Simons and his gang of funnymen to provide plenty of laughs. The Sorry Boys hope to meet that goal a few seconds at a time.
