Karl Jacobs, Sapnap, and GeorgeNotFound are going live at VidCon 2023

Karl Jacobs is taking the stage at VidCon 2023.

Jacobs, a longtime part of the MrBeast crew and also part of Dream SMP—will be a first-time featured creator, and will also film an episode of his podcast Banter live onstage with co-hosts Sapnap and GeorgeNotFound.

Banter took the top spot on Spotify’s U.S. charts when it debuted in 2021. It’s pitched as a “weekly podcast where Sapnap, GeorgeNotFound, and Karl Jacobs bring on one of their friends from the content creation scene to talk and be cool,” and its dedicated YouTube channel has nearly 300,000 subscribers.

“We’ve been-reworking what the podcast is,” Jacobs told Variety. “[W]e’re from-the-ground-up shifting it into a really cool direction. By the time VidCon’s happening, it’ll be full steam ahead, people will know what they’re about to get into.”

Jacobs is also doing a meet and greet. He decided to join VidCon as a featured creator this year, he said, because “it’s much easier to engage with your community that you’ve been building up for years. There’s so many opportunities to get to interact with fans at VidCon, so that’s a no-brainer decision to me.”

VidCon’s core event runs from June 21-24 in Anaheim. Nearly 100 featured creators have been announced to date, and you can see them all here.
